I can’t think of when he cost us any trophies. I could be wrong, I often am nowerdays - but I can’t think of any. Yes the odd mad mistake, but costing us trophies? Dunno about that mate

Depends doesn't it? Whilst maybe not 100% his fault, I'd say he could have done better with all 3 goals at home to Madrid last year. Did he "cost us the trophy" based on that? Probably not. Many decided to blame Rico for not bringing Vinicius Jr down for the last goal and ignored Ed's involvement in all 3 of the goals.

A lot of goals against us aren't down to one player, so it isn't one player "costing us the trophy". But there are a fair few occasions in Europe (Feyenoord also) where I'm left thinking "could have done better", without it necessarily having been his fault.

Any penalty shoot out springs to mind ,over the course of a season every penalty conceded going in must have an impact on something ?
Again I stress he's won us loads too
I don’t think keepers loose you shoot outs - although they can win you them if you know what I mean. Eddie saved one v RM season before last but we missed 2. So Kova and Bernie lost us that one. Anyway, he’s obviously going which I think is a really bad move as I think one more year would be perfect. But others disagree so just opinions. I’m not sure Donna will teach Trafford as much as Eddie would on how city play though

Think this is the difference in quality between Donna and Ederson, between world class and very good - Donnaruma wins you shoot outs.

I do t know whether he is going if it’s paper talk . Do we think there is any truth in ederson moving ?

If we sign Donnarumma it would be the clearest sign yet that Pep is reinventing his tactical approach. I'm happy enough with Trafford + Ortega so it's all upside if we get him too.

He apparently wants the same sort of money that Haaland is on, in which case I'd pass.

Haaland gave him a tweety thumbs up so it's all OK with him. Dangerous days for Pep and the club.

Watching pep today on ederson it was very clear savinho is off. But I’m not sure ederson is going to leave.

I think the interest has been driven by Donnarumma agent and he will end up at united.

Ornstein again with further info re ederson

Our stance is the same with Savio. It’s a negotiating tactic.

These players aren’t for sale unless X is met, we will get that price then.

Look at how many players we all thought were available and are still here.

By apparently, what do you mean? Do you have a credible source for that?

I would not be happy with Trafford - Ortega as Trafford is 22. We need a top class experienced goalkeeper.

The issue with signing a new first choice keeper on the eve of the new season is that it will take him a while to acclimatise to how the team plays, no matter how good he is. And being that it’s the gk position he’ll have to learn on the job rather than getting 10 minutes here and there whilst he gets up to speed.

At least with Trafford he’s been schooled in the City way since a young g age but if Donna comes in I’d imagine we’ll go backward before we go forward.

Donnarumma is world class and getting the best player in his position is a great move for the club moving forwards, but I’d imagine this could well impact the short term as he learns the Pep way whatever that may be this season

Gaughan saying that some sources say Ederson is waiting on us to agree this before leaving while others say it’s the other way around.

I think the fact he’s not playing today says it all.
