Captain of Italy so another leader on the pitch

I think that's what that tweet was referring to that said Pep and the club love him as a player and a person.

That makes a grand total of...two leaders on the pitch, and that's if Rodri comes back from the break fit.

Don't let the Virgins online distract you . There is no Ederson replacement so we signed the best shot stopper in world football . I'm sure he can manage a 10 yard pass to Rodri.
And catch a ball from a thrown in.

If he was signing for Liverpool, United or Arsenal, he would be an amazing signing, and all the media cunts would be raving about him. Instead he’s signing for City, and all the media cunts and some of our own fans think he’s a shit keeper.

No one thinks he's a shit keeper.

People have concerns that with Pep's system and insistence on keepers playing it around this will lead to problems as Donnarumma's weakness is his passing and kicking ability.

PSG have replaced him with a keeper better with his passing.

And when he makes world class saves and keeps City in a game, and helps City win games, you will be cheering him and applauding him. Give your head a wobble.
Until he is signing some lightbox on the official website he ain't a city player so I will call him whatever I like, once he is I will back him, but he is wank at crosses and doesn't like to catch the ball.

the last 24hrs of the transfer window I would have like devoted to a right back not a keeper.

Imagine a forum of any other club questioning this signing if their number one was departing?

Also, if any other club pulls this signing off, people on here are 100% slagging our hierarchy off for not getting involved.

Success and growth and us being top of the top table has made quite a few of our fans go a bit doolally
Had there been zero links to us and he had just signed for United, how many posts do you think there would be about them signing a guy on reputation alone again?

The important thing is that he’s not significantly worse with his feet than Trafford.
I believe he is.

Exactly mate.

This forum is unreal at times.

City are signing one of the best keepers in the world and some City are complaining, and are against City signing him.

This is exactly like the time when we almost signed cristiano ronaldo and the general consensus was that anyone not wanting "the greatest goalscorer of all time" was off their heads.

On a fucking Manchester City forum, no less.

Context matters. He is a very questionable fit for our team and that makes him an expensive risk.

People who are worried have a point. He's an amazing shot stoper, but he's not good on set pieces which is a worry since every team is spamming long throws and corners.
I don't believe that to be honest. Arsenal FC have done a lot of damage to the game with their free-kicks and corners. You need a monster in goal to counteract this. No one in barging and blocking Donnarumma.

I watched Donnarumma vs City, Villa, Arsenal and Liverpool. He coped with everything.

@ancoats what’s the obsession with Trafford mate?

Trafford is great. Going to be amazing in the future but don’t think he’s a title winning keeper just yet. I’m sure he’ll still play a lot this season tho. But We’re signing arguably the best keeper in the world, captain for Italy, just won champions league, an absolute leader a 6ft 5 beast and he’s only 26. Not enough dancing gifs

I am not happy with the squad and Pep and City signing another keeper we don't need ? Trafford only gets better with playing big games and not sitting on the bench.

100% Trafford will leave in the next year or go on loan again, i can not blame him really
