No athlete should be knighted. Knighthoods should only be given out for an act of bravery for their country and fellow citizens, or someone who has put their life on te line for their country.

Twisted RAG cnut. He has the media wrapped round his finger and in interviews there is always a smugness about him. Either that or I see it like that cos hes a RAG

I can see the olympic athletes getting some form of recognition because there is very little money in the sports they partake in and most of them genuinely do them for the sport itself. Thats not to say im for it but i can see why
However for footballers to get anymore recognition than they already do is obscene. They are ludicrously well paid to do a job which most people would pay to do (and do to pay to do in their sunday league subs etc) and yet they expect more recognition as if the monetary recognition they recieve isnt enough this goes for fergiscum and robson and any other well paid pundit,sportsman etc who has had the cheek to swan up there and think yeah i deserve this, well they should look around at the chairty workers, doctors, missionary workers et al and then ask again do i really deserve this!

This, sums it up in a nutshell. As for Giggs he's not as hateful as most of the Swamp Dwellers but he's still a cnut.
