Gigs Thread

Unbelievable gig last night, Richard Ashcroft was on form as well. Certainly a night that will live long in the memory.
2nd time at Wembley this year. Excellent again. Ashcroft even better this time.
Seemed a bit better in the stadium with it going dark earlier. Very good tribute R Hatton with Live Forever dedicated to him.

Shame some of the crowd were ill mannered morons.

I’ll be having a bit of that!

This should probably go in Oasis reunion but im really puzzled about attempting to get tickets next year for the Etihad or Knebworth, both will be fucking epic but it’s not exactly an easy decision, and i dont think i have the funds for both!!! Can anybody advise me? thanks.

Just booked Lucinda Williams for January at Birmingham Town Hall. Wanted to see her for years and wasn’t sure she would be back in the UK after her health problems. I’m so chuffed, not sure what sort of show it will be, but saw Doug Pettibone her guitarist in a tiny venue many years ago and he’s bloody excellent!

Steve Hackett tickets and hotel sorted for next year :-)
Got my ticket too mate :-)
Which show you off to?

On another note, I’m going to The Stranglers later this month at the Apollo. Gotta be honest, not sure what to expect or what the line up is currently, but the songs are so good, I couldn’t resist.

Back to York went for the Lamb tour with my little Rachel who came up for a dad / daughter day, night, day and wanted to do it again bless her.
Appears no new solo album got a feeling this could be special ( Spectral mornings) please.
Hope the Stranglers goes okay, have to say I gave up with Big Country sadly after Tony then Mike Peters left then Mark B but hey ho thats life.
On a Big Country theme Rachel is off to see Stuarts daughter this weekend in Manchester ( Kirsten Adamson ) Rachel lives in M/cr ffs ;-)

Yes bar cellar on Tuesday night for The Pill supported by Tough Cookie.
Great night, young whipper snappers keeping the punky scene alive with a mix of studenty-types and FOCs making up the crowd.
Got tickets yesterday for The Cure in the park.

Hope anyone going to Edwyn Collins tonight has a great night ... cannot wait for Thursday.
Got tickets for Tom (not Tommy ) Robinson a week on Friday

Edwyn's Gig in Southampton last week was excellent. Set list has appeared fairly consistent throughout. Support bands were both very good and nice to see an artist not ripping fans off for merchandise ( vinyl for under £20)
His wife Grace sat in front of us for most of the gig along with Will
