Juventus director of sport Alessio Secco has made Gigi Buffon and Giorgio Chiellini 'unsellable' amid interest from both Manchester clubs.
Roberto Mancini, the new Manchester City manager, is expected to raid Serie A over the next month and both Juventus players are reported to be among his top targets.
City tried to tempt Buffon away from Turin this time last year, but failed as the World Cup winner reiterated his commitment to the Bianconeri.
Meanwhile, United are looking to bolster their defence as a spate of injuries has ravaged their backline in recent weeks.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, both Manchester clubs feel Juventus's elimination from the Champions League leaves them susceptible to large bids for their star players.
“We are by now used to reading about the possible interest of other clubs in our players, like Buffon and Chiellini, to take today's examples,” Secco explained.
“I want to clarify that these reports are without foundation and, with this chance, I confirm that Juventus has no intention of depriving itself of its own champions, but continues to work to try and reach its own sporting objectives,” he concluded.
