doesn't matter what breed or if it was a loving family dog,people forget they can turn on you anytime.shocks me that folk leave young kids alone with dogs,although i see this is a 15yr old in this case

For 4 dogs to act like this reflects on the owner not the dog regardless of the breed

agreed,i'd never blame an animal but we humans do have to not forget its in every animal to do this.I am always angry when animals are put down

Fucking hell a 15 year old was killed, i was expecting a kiddy to have been killed.

A teenager has been found dead in a house in Manchester by police who were confronted by a number of "aggressive and out of control" dogs.

The body of the girl, believed to be 15 years old, was found at the property in the Atherton area of the city.

Armed police killed four dogs, while a fifth was securely contained. The breed of the dogs has not yet been confirmed.

Superintendent Mark Kenny, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "First and foremost, our thoughts are with the family of the girl who has tragically lost her life.

"I understand this is an extremely distressing incident for all concerned, including the community, and we will work hard to establish the full circumstances that led to this tragedy.

"There will be a significant police presence in the area, which will remain this afternoon and evening. We will be there to carry out an investigation and address any concerns residents may have.

"It would be too early for us to speculate about what has happened, and further information will be released when it becomes available."

Yet another victim. Dogs are scavenging pack hunters, and from the same family as dingo's, coyote's, Jackal and wolves, they will kill if they are hungry. Im sure hundreds of dog owners will jump in now and say "my dog wouldn't do anyone any harm, it's the owners fault" but I'm sorry that's bollocks. Dogs are dangerous. End of.

Yep pretty much genetically identical to Wolves. You can train a dog all you want but it's still a dangerous animal and if it snaps for whatever reason it can cause a lot of damage. I don't think anyone should be allowed a dog there should be some sort of owner test where you have to show you are capable of training and controlling it to cut down on this sort of thing.

My ex's dog is a huge bastard with jaw muscles as big as a staffs head but i had him soft as you like.

Before you all get your pitchforks out and start calling for all dogs to be culled, I think you should wait to hear the full story first, it is by no means clear as to what has happened here, still it's not like this place to go jumping to conclusions!
