hopefully they can be our mini-City in La Liga. Establish them and turn them into mini-Monaco, sign talented youngsters directly into them, play them in La Liga and then if they're good enough sell them to us on the cheap. Can send a bunch of youngsters there as well hopefully if they go up, guys like Roberts, Diaz (in time) would benefit from playing in La Liga and at the Bernabeu, Camp Nou etc. Would be great if we can make that work. The fact B teams was a question put to Bernardo Silva of all people shows how keen City are to have one, and I think Girona could be the closest we could get, and probably better than having an official one in the English leagues.
 
Getafe lost today so a draw tomorrow means Girona are up 6 with 2 games left and a +15 GD. Win tomorrow formally clinches promotion.
 
Defeat for Girona - 2 games left to get a single point for promotion. Their form is not good. Maffeo went off injured in 55th min.
Taking lessons from City do things the hard way.
 
Do they plan to get a promotion at all? I wouldn't be surprised if they deliberately bottle it. If we're going to use them as "City B", La Liga is too much for 17-19 yo youngsters anyway.
What do you think guys?
 
Hopefully they can not mess this up. Would be an ideal loan destination for Maffeo, A. Garcia, and potentially Moreno next season to get some La Liga experience.

I think that is an insane suggestion. Their fans would riot. They're their own club, Pere Guardiola will certainly not want to turn down the funds associated with being in La Liga. Just had a strange second half -- happens to everyone on occasion.
 
Girona will play tomorrow vs Zaragoza at home, a draw will promote them to La Liga if I'm not mistaken.
Judging by odds (W4.1 D1.5 L8.6) it's going to be a fixed match, a draw is almost certain.
