been to a meeting today at the ground, we had a people there from all walks of the club,we bounced idea's about how we could go about moving the away fans with the least disruption to all concerned.
we looked at where if at all the away fans could be housed, discussions and disagreements followed but the one comment that threw me was that should the away fans move some fans would follow them just for the banter, i disagreed but said i would ask you lot.here goes.

if the away fans were moved to say east level 3 would you give your seat up and reapply up there in order to "banter" with them?

thoughts?

would never enter my head to move seats. i do all the pissed taking i like, its usually aimed at the the salford village idiots, better know as salford reds.

my view on this is sod the atmosphere, i want to take the obvious advantage we give the away team off them, moving their fans will do this, we'll all be together , city will do better and the atmosphere will return anyway.

ok to move them to 212 then?

no way, lol.

i said i'd move round to behind the goal if it meant moving them somewhere else, not happy about and prefer not to but i would, on the other hand my wife and daughter are livid at the thought.
splits opinion this does, thats what the club want to know though.

What advantage do we give the away team, its not like were playing turkish teams who know how to jump up an down in one spot. I carnt even remember the last time i heard an away team give it big vocals at city but then again i am slighty death. keep them where they are and if any of em are heard chanting throw em out...

This would actually make them sound LOUDER as the roof will keep the noise in the ground even a few fans can make a big noise up there TV cameras might not to be able to see them but you will hear them.

Correct, the roof would amplify their noise. It would be a disaster.

I am on the tenth row of the third tier smack on halfway. Brilliant view. What will I get offered to beat that????

Leave them where they are.
Nice to know I am not nuts about the volume levels couldn't think of the correct word. I also thought the other problem was the biggest that prevents any away fan move which simply is where they are now gives easy access to the away coach park allowing the police to be able to keep us apart at full time.

they dont have one, they just asked for feedback, dave wallace was there too, no doubt he will ask his readers for their views.there was 11 people there today round that table and there was 11 different takes on the whole idea, including is it even worth all the upheaval.
the why's and wherefore's are many, safety, policing, atmosphere, upsetting our fans, exiting, fire regs etc etc.

Just with those few you have mentioned, to me seems to much hassle for this to happen for what little if any effect it will have on the atmosphere.

Keep it as it is. The reason i like my seat is because it is next to the away fans. The North Stand became the most atmospheric stand in Maine Road, due to it being next to they away fans.
