Hughes has proven that he can make a competitive Prem team with little money. Let´s see how he does over the course of a season with money.

Why? What does Hughes bring to the table that is any better than the other 19 Premier League managers? He is a poor man's BFS.

Ok mate tell me what you would do at this precise moment in time?

Hughes is a shit manager, lets stop kidding ourselves.

Just a bit worried about MH tactics, however I have managed to convince myself the quality of his squad is dictating his team selections and tactics for the moment.
Others might not agree though.
didn't this squad beat the scum twice last year.
When will people realise that it isn't a whole squad of shit players that's the problem. It's a fucking wank manager!!

Yeah you have heard it for too long. You know why that is? It's because the transfer window was closed for 4 months.
It's now been open 3 days and Hughes has already solved one of our problems with the fantastic signing of Bridge. If we're doing crap in March/April and hearing the same excuses then you can't talk about hearing it for too long with your words actually meaning something.

For those who think we should revert back to sacking managers every 2 minutes what is that going to achieve? For the best exmaple of sticking with a manager just look over the City to that twat at the shithole. If the legend is to be believed he was a gnat's bollock away from getting sacked until Robins dug him out of the shit. For me Hughes has so far bought better players in than we had and with a bit of patience I have no doubt he will be a success at City. A lot of City fans are looking for excuses to get rid of Hughes just because he played for the tw*ts.
Just because we have pot loads of cash doesn't mean we can instantly turn ourselfs into Chelsea. When they were in our position they were already a top 4 side we are far from a top 6 side. This revolution is going to take at least 5 years not 5 months like a lot of City
fans seem to think.

Or, are you saying that if we didn't have a dip in form when the end of year "review" was announced, then last years squad was capable of finishing higher than 9th but still weren't good enough to finish in the top 10?BlueMooney said:Were they, though?
Most of last season's points came before Christmas. In Hughes's first 19 games he got 18 points. In Sven's last 19 games he got 19 points. Seems to me like the poor form has been for 2008, not just for Hughes.
Even Pearce managed 19 points from his last 19 with his squad.
