kenny mulhearn, was great that season we won the league but given for me he is outstanding probs the best in britain at the moment, corrigan was great but now and then dropped some clangers of the highest callibre anyone remember the one against west ham at maine rd he took the ball to the left of the area kicked into hammers half started to stroll back to his goalmouth and not sure think it was billy bonds kicked straight back into citys net with corrigan walking and thinking wheres that come from think jimmy greaves made his debut for hammers that day and got two? put me right if i,m wrong?

Issakson - wasnt a good keeper, came to city cause sven

haha thats weird,
seeing as isaksson was signed by physcho pearce the season before sinatra took us over or sven was manager
unless of course he's psychic, being swedish and all that. . .

talent wise hes as good as any keeper we have ever had BUT hes got along way to go on to be as succesfull as the likes of corrigan/bert/swift, although if he carries on playing at the level hes at now and is our number 1 for another 3/4years he will certainly challange for that.

Comparable to David James in terms of relationship he had with the fans and as a shot stopper but both questionable when collecting from set pieces.

If I'm remembering correctly it was Ronnie Boyce

Interesting that the original poster forgets James who along with Schmeichel has been the best in recent years.

Since I have been a fan I would put Corrigan at number one but Trautmann and Swift were obviously both a bit special but before my time.

It was....check the youtube vid above!

in my time...
1. Corrigan
2. Dowd
3. Mulhearn
4. Coton
5. Given

But most people who remember him would tell you that Frank Swift was the greatest EVER keeper. Not just 'our' best ever... THE best ever.
