I know its not possible to do this for every player on the pitch, but could we have a poll on who should be our Keeper this season? As the keeper is quite an important position!

I know that for myself I was really happy when Shay came, but having an objective look at things / watching both of them I feel Joe has proved himself to be a better keeper....

My vote would be for Joe.

why not do this for every position? lets get a right back poll on the go today and put together a bluemoon members city 11 and see what team the majority on here would put out on the pitch. can somebody make this happen? using the diamond formation used throughout preseason maybe have a different position poll each day.

My vote went to Joe!

I love Shay Given, he is a fantastic shot stopper but I am never convinced he commands his area. Since Joe has returned from Brum he seems a lot more self-confident and in the pre-season games so far has commanded his area and the defence well.

Given is a fine shotstopper but he never seems to work on the weaknesses he's had all his career.
Joe can get better, Given won't.

it's gotta be Given, the defence know him by now, he's a big physical presence,he managed to keep an abysimal newcastle in the league season after season,plenty of man of the match accolades while doing so... Shay's still gotta few good years in him...especially if calamity can still be named number 1 in a world cup squad at 40, given is head and shoulders above james who held joe down the pecking order..joe will be an amazing keeper but he's got another 2-3 years to go...Shay all the way, donegal men make the best goalkeepers!!
