Personally I wouldn't be giving these drum-beating sectarian throwbacks one penny of my hard-earned cash, and have no desire whatsoever for a love-in with a bunch of mindless drunken cretins who wrecked my City 'cos the telly broke.

Fuckin grow up will you, anyone with a brain knows that out of 150,000 Rangers fans that visited Manchester only a handful caused trouble and they were renounced by the overwhelming majority.

Oh,so those running battles with the police up & down Portland Street were a "handful",were they?
Wind your brainless orange neck in and stop making yourself look stupid.
I work in Manchester & the next day it looked like Beirut.
No other club has achieved this disgrace in my lifetime.
So screw Rangers and screw idiots like you who act as unpaid apologists for their moronic drunken bigots.

Excellent post Nijinsky. They say "a handful" of idiots trashed the place yet claim there was 150,000 people down there, so what is a handful of that figure? A contradiction if ever there was one. A "large majority" of their support are bigoted, racist, narrow minded low life trapped in the 17th century. I am disappointed that Manchester City are having anything to do with this club after what happened last May. Short memories indeed. There are so many clubs, with far more appeal that MCFC could have visited for a friendly with their new look kit and signings and they choose to visit the sectarian cesspit of Ibrox Stadium? Poor decision from the City hierarchy.

Ok, here are some directions for anyone travelling up by train.

You'll arrive at Central Sation. Leave Central and head for Buchanan Street Underground. Get a day ticket at what use to be £1.90, and you can travel as much as you like that day.

Jump on the tube to Hillhead station and when coming out of Hillhead turn left, then a quick left again pass William Hills on the Right hand side and 20 yards ahead of here is Ashton Lane.

Hi Ricster, just been into town from Hillhead and it cost £2.40 for a return. I think a day ticket cost about £3.00. Anyway the only problem with Ashton Lane is I am not sure they will let us in with our our footie shirts on. There is lots of signs outside bars in the area sayiny NO COLOURS (footie shirts). I am on my way to the chip in Ashton Lane later and I will word them out about this. Also if there is a problem I was in the Merchant City this morning wich would also be decent for a meet. Plenty of bars advertising the Internationals this weekend. I'll give you an update later.

we should just all head to Ashton Lane and get a sh*te load of Neil Lennon masks to wear as he was a City leg-end lol

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/2008/09/02/neil-lennon-left-unconscious-after-being-bottled-and-beaten-by-sectarian-thugs-86908-20721120/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scott ... -20721120/</a>

only joking !!!

I could get a place in Shawlands booked out (pollok juniors), do it for the Scotland games holds about 500 and im sure they'd be more than happy to entertain us, but to be honest its easier getting to Ibrox from Ashton Lane cause of the underground anywho were probably best waiting till the games confirmed ha ha

What date is the game ?
I don't think they can confirm the date yet as Celtic could be playing a CL qualifier home leg on the 4th or 5th August, so I'd guess the City match would take the alternate date if that happens.
