Bryan Ferry was great though. I can not think of another front man so cool.
Guilty pleasure from yesterday, I quite liked Clean Bandit.
Yep, after a day the outside world ceases to exist. It becomes it's own nation. Maybe it was the drugs but that's how it felt. Leaving is one of the most depressing experiences. Maybe that was the drugs.Phil Meup said:it's the 'feel good' vibe.Johnsonontheleft said:To anyone who has been or is there now,
What is it that makes Glastonbury so good? Apparently half the people don't go for the music. I understand that getting pissed is fun (to a point), but I wouldn't fancy a hangover in one of those portaloos. I've never done drugs, I imagine that's good to a point too. Who wants to spend 3 days in a muddy field watching a couple of bands you like? There must be more to it.
Seriously, I don't understand why everyone says Glastonbury is so good, and would love to be enlightened?
It's like being in a different world almost from what I remember, back in the day.

Really? I have always disliked Bryan Ferry. His voice is average. Never got the hype about Roxy Music either.
There are, literally, thousands of cooler frontmen than weedy Bry.

Roxy Music was all about Brian Eno. Without Eno, it was just a band with a creepy singer. How BF has managed to con a career out of singing is one of life's great mysteries.

Ferry's voice is what makes them tunes what they are. He hardly sings, I am not sure what it is he does but it is distinctive.
I think he is pretty cool anyway and he was really good yesterday.
