I know. They usually tour for nearly 2 years, write an album for a year and have a year or so off. And repeat. It has been muted (In joke) that they turned Glastonbury down in the early 90's and they said no in 2009 due the line up "not being right". They are now 3/1 favourites but seeing as they started their current tour in March last year and have only just finished it means that, if the cycle is anything to go by, they will be ready to start touring in 2 years and not next year.
Still...no one knows fuck all at the moment apart from the cryptic... "It it a British artist? He's definitely British, but the band are not British any more."
Which sort of counts them out. Seeing that although 2 of them live in the US full time now they are still British.
I really expected them to do it this year and I was really gutted when I failed to get a ticket. I was a bit shocked when the line up announcement was made and they were not on it.
They would have to do a greatest hits set I think if they ever played Glastonbury. I think they would be absolutely fantastic there and for the life of me I have no idea why they have never played there.
Their usual set is a greatest hit set with 3 or 4 songs from whatever album is out at the time mate.
