Been out all day so missed loads. Got back an hour ago now about to go back out into town.

One of the best things about attending a festival is having the chance to sample new things. It's a five day smorgasbord of new experiences for £335. A bargain.

No-one goes to a festival just to see their favourite big name bands.

Bang on. Folk apply for Glastonbury, or my small festivals like End of the Road and one dayers in Sheffield, for much more than the headliners.

At End of the Road it's the young acts in the bottom of the line-up that are my highlights; e.g. Julia Jacklin, Shame, Lucy Dacus, Squid a few years back.

Glasto is also I'm sure great place to hear new music but impression I get is that BBC only interested in heritage acts and stuff that's already fairly well known. Some truly naff coverage e,g. "Rick Astley doesn't let Glastonbury down";
