Had the usual devastation that I passed this year when I saw the full line up, but it's somewhat lightened today seeing that almost every act I really want to see are on Friday night and half of them clash and I'd do about 80,000 steps on the day trying to see the ones that don't.

Some of them just seem very strange....Idles and Fontaines DC have a massively overlapping fanbase...they're on at the same time. Jungle, LCD Soundsystem and Jamie XX the same.

Meanwhile I've got no idea what I'd end up at on Saturday night.

Radio 6 is a decent alternative.

It's the sense of community of being at a festival.
Not unlike going to the football.

It's become one of those "to be seen at" events nowadays. It's as much a social event as a music festival.
