Glastonbury 2024

Someone I know gets them every year I’ve never been able to, it’s got to be a fix!
I’d just like to say if Dua Lipa ever needs a hand changing costumes I’m available
Complete luck. I had five devices on the go with multiple tabs as did my lad’s mates. I didn’t get a sniff but you only need one to be lucky…

This is the weekend where I understand what the people who say there’s too much football on TV are talking about!
There's just been too much shit football on TV in the last 2 weeks, with the odd bit of entertainment here and there, luckily we all have City for 9 months every year, I rarely watch any other these days during the season.

What do you mean exactly you gave up your ticket. We've been three times but haven't been able to get tickets for the past five years. It seems its down to luck. Yet some seem to get tickets every year?
Managed to get a ticket in the general sale for this year (that happened at the end of last year) but decided to not pay the full balance for various reasons including the lineup.

Been lucky enough to snag a ticket for 2017 onwards through the usual route (in a group of 6, all dedicated people trying on multiple devices etc) but I suspect the amount of bots/massive groups who have a big spreadsheet etc to get tickets is increasing every year. Not to mention the weather has been good for every festival since 2016 and it being broadcast on the BBC, which probably encourages those on the fence to apply

Her earlier stuff was better, raw, but she had a great singing voice, it's not coming over tonight, just "generic woman singer" voice.

It's all a bit too "pop" for me.
That's how I feel about her music very generic pop stuff. But each to their own.

Dua Lipa needs to get back on stage and perform, she's lost to everyone out there on that stage section. Play to the audience, not the cameras!

iPlayer, just watching the Paul Heaton set

Amazing - great lyricist, great songs, great frontman.

Obviously no Jaqui Abbot there, but Rianne Downey alongside him is doing a fantastic job.

They performed together last year at T in The Park (not certain if it's still on iPlayer) but they were fantastic together then

Yes true, I'm 62 year old, but she had a voice that was great 4 or 5 years ago, and I enjoyed how she sang.

She seems to have morphed (trained) out of it, there have been a few songs tonight where it has come through for short bits, but not enough for me, almost like it's been too much for her to take in being there (she's never stopped going on about that).

Aurora was outstanding. Surprised it's not been mentioned. None of the shit dancers or costume changes. Just awesome lyrics and delivered with class . Take a bow young lady .

As always having an amazing time at Glastonbury, love reading this thread every year for the same posters to make the same posts who clearly have never been or seen the actual demographic.

Remember there's about 4000 acts on at Glastonbury and bbc shows a fraction. You'll not see much but the dance scene takes up the most of it.

I've volunteered for oxfam this week so not as nuts as usual but was great to see the festival on the days before the general public could get in. And the crew bars are brilliant.

Currently in the brewery bar, playing soul and funk until 3am it's rocking.

Oh I rarely watch any football apart from Manchester City and England but it’s the ‘there’s always football on’ gang that get me.
Except Glastonbury when the BBC seems to be taken over by it! Then I sort of get where they’re coming from. I like my music but not this noisy. Each to their own I guess. :-)
