Well they inspired 100,000 plus.

Listen, I get it. They’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but they absolutely put on a show.

To see Michael.J Fox there - who inspired them to create their band - was an absolute pleasure to see, and something people won’t forget.

Haters have their hate though.

I have a lot of albums but I’ve never bought a Coldplay album. However, I did make a point of going to see them in concert.

They do indeed put on a show and they have a set of songs that their audience sings the heck out of. The atmosphere at their gigs is superb.

I’m sure anyone wearing one of their wristbands last night had a very memorable time.

Seeing Michael J. Fox was emotional, both heart warming and heart breaking.

Not a listener to coldplay, not my thing but they are far from bland or generaic.

they are easily jumped on as it's become a social norm for people to dislike them automatically whithout ever owning or listening to their catalogie only knowing 3-4 singles Its a similar thing to our empty seats tag, many just say it.


They are hardly shite like the munford & sons, now that was bland music

I've only caught a little bit of Glastonbury but from what I've seen I've enjoyed mostly

The Breeders decent
Fontaines DC OK
Cyndi Lauper tragic
Idles up their own arse
LCD Soundsystem brilliant

I've not took the time to check out any of the headliners on the pyramid stage this year as none of them do anything for me.

Is there such a thing as a band that’s too big for Glastonbury?

If so, Coldplay might be it.

People are climbing up scaffolding, security guards are standing on emergency vehicles, actual Tom Cruise is watching from a viewing platform, accompanied by Gillian Anderson and Simon Pegg.

Michael J Fox even joins them to play guitar on Fix You.

At other stages around Worthy Farm, A-list artists floundered, with some fields barely at one-third capacity.

Everyone, it seems, is straining for a glimpse of rock’s most generous-spirited band.

And Coldplay don’t disappoint.

The problem is there’s not that many guitar bands coming through that have made it big enough in the last decade to headline the pyramid stage so they’re stuck with either the same legacy acts or going in a different direction like Dua Lipa.

would have loved to have heard Pavarotti ( even better with his 2 tenors) on the main stage, on a hot summer’s night, eg Nessun Dorma. Too late for him!
