Glossop Greater Manchester

It really isn’t, it’s 10 local authorities , yes they have a mayor through the combined authority but they have really delegated very little to the GMCA , transport, housing strategy… but there are still 10 authorities in their own right
Yes the 10 authorities are independent but they do have some combined services. You mentioned transport and housing. There is also waste and recycling and some elements of technology. Sure there will be other things too.

Andy Burnham, Gary Neville, and Lord Sebastian Coe are all members of the Old Trafford Regeneration Task Force (OTRTF), a group exploring the future of Manchester United's stadium and surrounding area:

Anything involving Burnham can fuck off in the bin as far as I am concerned.

Woah, just hold on a minute.
Don't we have a say in this ? We don't want any old village dumped on us.
Spot on. Can you imagine the din from all those banjos on a Friday night? It'd wake up the dead in Chapel en le Frith! No; There's enough dodgy suburbs to the north of the city centre; we don't need any more plebs, thanks very much.

We ?
We don't need?
Since when has Donegal been in our republic?

My daughter and 3 Grandkids live in Simmondley and it's a pain in the arse coming from Haughton Green for the school run, the youngest goes to War Hill primary school in Broadbottam and the elder 2 go Glossop high, one comes under Tameside and the other under High Peak, different holidays pain in the arse

Yes 9 of them have a joint contract for recycling facilities with Suez - Wigan don’t take part in any GM stuff , they do their own thing

They don’t have to be under different authorities to have different holidays.

My kids go to two schools, less than a mile apart. Both catholic. One is even a feeder school for the other. Yet the holidays are completely different. At Easter time there’s normally almost a full month when at least one of them is. It’s ridiculous really. Can’t see any need for it.

There will be huge celebrations next Tuesday evening in Glossop as they welcome in the New Year. It brings new hope for prosperity and better times.
Hopefully 1903 will be a better year than this one.
