He’s leaving Barca for two reasons. He wants to be number 1 and now he isn’t Barca probably can’t afford to keep him.

He’s not really a city signing at this stage of his career if he has starting aspirations. Imagine he cashes in and goes to Saudi.

Our keeper targets will be like the current two. Eddie replacement will be one that can be here for years. Ortega replacement wi be like him, experienced and talented and knows he’ll get a decent amount of football/trusted if needed but won’t be a starter most of the time.

Yes ,I quite like the Ter Stegen idea but only if he is happy to be the Ortega replacement, or a safety net for Trafford if it is him to settle in so probably a non starter.

Especially with so many other options for aging players with great experience now.

Saudi, MLS etc.

I think we’ll get another Ortega style signing. We were linked with a German keeper last year.

I’m guessing the abuse he received online on both his and his wife’s account played a part.

Perhaps city have also thought it’s best to move for Trafford now and have told ederson fo find a new club. Who knows. Will all come out I’m sure

What a great start to a transfer window: Cherki, Reijnders, Ait-Nouri.. but now nothing is happening anymore. We still need Livramento, Ederson replacement and probably Ortega replacement.
 
Before we start picking names, we have 3 goalkeepers as required by the rules, we have swapped an AT goalkeeper for a AT goalkeeper, 3rd choice most likely.
So who has won the FA cup or the League cup, the most in the last 15 years top 5, which goalkeeper has won, again top 5, which second choice goalkeeper has again top 5.
These are the parameters that make our second spot, the most attractive to every English player, not going to the world cup. Fraser Forster free never was a good goalkeeper and is old, but he fixes 3 problems, commanding the box, English and passing on experience to our new goalkeeper.
First choice Trafford, next season when he has had another full season in the PL and hopefully won the England no1
 
Surprised Trafford is rejoining with Ederson here tbh. World Cup year with Tuchel was a huge opportunity.

Have to think beyond that of course but still very surprising.
 
Some reports that Eddie is on the move. How true, I know not. Diogo Costa to come in?
