Not tall enough and has absolutely abysmal record at penalty saves. About 6 at most iirc over 8 seasons.....

Ederson also does not dominate his area and is prone to a rush of blood

Ederson was and is the catalyst for how we play. If we can replace him amazing. Otherwise I don't see any other keeper that can replace him for that.

If brentford are paying £25m for a keeper, he must be coming in as number 1.
Even city wouldn't spend £25m on a back up so can't see brentford doing that.
So he could sit on our bench or sit on brentford's bench.

yeah he was good actually. I wish we'd kept him.

What is it with people on here obsessed with saving penalties.
The majority of keepers won't save a single penalty next season.
Shouldn't even be a consideration.

Edit - just checked and 8 keepers in the PL have saved a penalty this season.

If we have a decent buyback on Trafford, we’d be crazy not to take him back and bring in Costa as #1. Trafford would get plenty of games and develop, and if the right money came along, we could move him on again once an Academy keeper is ready.

Be nice to see one of the dozen or so Academy keepers make it here one day!!

Would love that too…but let’s be honest Trafford isn’t coming back here to be no 2.

He’s ambitious & wants to be starting which I doubt City are willing to offer him at this moment in time.

Edit - just checked and 8 keepers in the PL have saved a penalty this season.

Most of those would be bad penalties (taken by us probabaly :))

Doubt that's going to happen, very nice if it does

Joan Garcia top keeper for Espanyol I think but personally I'd be fine with keeping Ederson.
