Goalkeepers

The Brazilian Bravo should be told he's not playing Rush goalie on the Red Rec. Cost us yet again today. Swap keepers with Spuds and we win this game.

Stay close to your goal as much as possible is just a basic rule for all GKs
Ederson's just a very rash GK,even he rushes out he rarely makes himself big, split second late in reacting and these moments of madness are starting to become a recurring theme
For the first goal, yes Laporte gets done by Kane's movement and vacates his space at first but with Cancelo covering,
Son would have had to produce one heck of a finish with him going away from goal and if he scores, fair enough but still
The second goal, same scenario,he rushes out, vacates his space and just opens up the goal, again, with his legs apart
Son would have scored a third too had he had a better touch
He's lucky enough that De Gea and Kepa have been worse and made more errors in the last 18 months or so,otherwise the spotlight would have been on him more because for all his praised 'abililty' on the ball,he just doesn't give us enough of a chance in games when needed as he should for a keeper at a top club.

Let's try not conceding 3 guilt edged chances every match before slating our goalies
That isn't the answer though is it, both as bad as each other bar ones glaring errors leads to goals conceded and guaranteed points dropped.

It is a shit life being a keeper, I know been there, done that.

The fact is Eddie is rash and getting rasher, it needs pulling up by the coaches, there is a time and a place for rushing out, today is the perfect example of when not to do so.

He probably thinks it is great, as it works fine in training v Sterling :)

On today's showing but Lloris isn't anywhere near a world class keeper in general, he makes some horrendous gaffs, we have seen plenty against us in the past, granted not the last few games we have played them.

It's good to see other people commenting on what, for me, has been obvious pretty much from day 1. Ederson is a world class sweeper-keeper, probably the best in the world, he is not a world class goalkeeper in the traditional sense, in fact I'd argue he's barely premier league standard.

However, for the way we play he is important, and there are few who can combine the two. Unfortunately this season his deficiencies have had greater bearing on the results, obviously because of new deficiencies elsewhere.

Put a Fernandinho and Aguero from 2 years ago in the team and we wouldn't be having this conversation
