Goals you still Remember

Geovanni's ripper against United in Sven's... 4th game was it? May have been 3rd actually, was only my second game at City and the first goal I saw us score live. I'd already seen us lose 1-0 to United after Vassell decided to fuck his penalty up. Saw Ball stamp on Ronaldo though so its all good.

Berkovic goal against Norwich at Maine Road. Think we were down to 10 men and it was almost as if he ran half the pitch (quite slowly) before putting the ball under the keeper.

Pretty sure it was the season we got promoted to the PL maybe 01-02.

Some random goals that I've not seen since but stuck in the memory:

1. Tony Coleman's strike from out near the touchline against Everton, last home game of the 67/68 title winning season. He'd just taken a corner and the ball came back to him about level with the edge of the area and a few yards in from the right touchline, he just set it up and hammered it goalwards,the keeper got both hands to it but the force of the shot took the ball past his hands and into the net.

2. Frannie Lee running onto a through ball from Colin Bell and powering it into the roof of the net against Wolves at Maine Rd, finished 5-2 to City, 71/72 season.

3, Willie Donachie's intended hard, low cross that ended up in the net at Elland Road, 74/75 season, finished 2-2.

4. Asa Hartford's 30 yard screamer at Boro, Xmas '77, won 2-0.

5. Jim Melrose's 50 yard volley, obviously!

My first away, midweek vs West Brom, the year before the banana craze, there was only 1 huge banana then, and as if by magic up pops Imre Banana to equalise late on.... we all went, well bananas!!

the earliest i can remember without having seen them since, was Kiddo's header on his debut when he scored 4 v Leicester.

are you sure about that i was at that game away to Leicester 1st game of the season and Kidds debut and he didnt score and seem to remember it was 2-2 i could be wrong.

The first city goal I saw in the flesh was uwe rosler against WBA. Don't really remember it although I remember tommy wright making a good save in front of us.

No you're right, Kiddo's 4 were in the home game in the January IIRC.

Then a Bradford Fan hit me over the head with a brick and I remembered nothing else.

the goat's volley after ali's backheel, away v Gillingham in the 2001/02 season (I think). Quality goal.

Bob Taylor's goal against Birmingham to set up the promotion match at Blackburn was special as well, as was the pitch invasion afterwards.

Mark kennedy's screamer at the reebok, the list goes on...
