A friend of mine and Mrs G have a daughter.

A few years ago, the daughter lost/had her purse stolen with a fair amount of money in, so her mother (and mother's partner) set up a gofundme page

It raised a healthy amount of money

The mother is on £100,000
The mother's partner is on £120,00

GoFundMe seems to be infested by the feckless:

The idiots who travel abroad with no travel insurance, but spend thousands on that holiday.
The 'amazing parent' who dies young, but was so amazing they didn't consider life insurance to look after their family
The 'lit up a room, cared for his gran, cheeky personality' scumbag who passes in an accident of their own causing - invariably a stolen car, off-road biking accident and the family want to give them "the send off they deserve"
The idiot pet owners who don't insure or budget for their pets healthcare costs.
The combination of any 2 of the above.

But annoying as all these people are, the more annoying are the idiots who contribute to these feckless anchors !
