Going after CFG?

I don't give a flying pig's fart (even if it includes a bit of follow through) about anything that Tory Lie Sheet puts in its pages.
Indeed, if I was caught short somewhere, I would suffer severe skid marks rather than use any of the publication on or near my arse. JJ

Can anybody more learned than me give any plausible explanation as to why the hierarchy at City don’t publicly defend themselves against articles such as this and countless others.

I’m sure there is a reason as to why the club continues to maintain its silence in the face of so many unfounded allegations but I just don’t understand it.
I know for a fact that the media team are constantly speaking to these cretins unfortunately they have an agenda and unless its clearly libelous then, there's little that can be done about it. These writers are expert in not including anything that can be libelous they use "according to a source" its is to be believed" To challenge them in public would add fuel to the flames letting it lie it becomes tomorrow's chip paper. You can make statements but they will very cleverly misquote or, only use part of the statement and the headlines can be totally different than the story Its best to ignore and poke them with another trophy and just laugh at their falling circulation figures One thing I don't agree with the club on his the lavish press room facilities I would give them absolute bear minimum because they just throw it back in our face.

Remember buy a coffee and don't click on links

At the next press conference, before the Everton game, instead of Pep sitting there on his own, what if Vicky Kloss, Ferran Soriano and Andy Young (the CFO) sat there and said "Before the manager answers any questions, we'd like to correct the article that appeared in the Daily Mail suggesting that we use City Football Group and some subsidiaries to somehow mis-state our accounts and thereby make them look more favourable for FFP purposes. Here are the facts that prove we don't, including figures from our published accounts. Following this there should be no excuse for suggesting we do mis-state the accounts and anyone suggesting otherwise will have no excuse or defence to any action we take against them".

It's out there in the public domain then.
It would turn into the Rafa facts statement you cant win with these cunts They would turn it into they are so worried about being found out that they have wheeled out all their executives to defend themselves "no smoke without fire"

I'm not sure threatening the media - because that is how they would see it - would have the effect you suggest

I have said many times on here; why should City make headlines for the media. Media prints sh1t we then reply to this sh1t by saying it is sh1t(next days headlines), media then replies to this with more sh1t (more headlines), we reply (more headlines). You get the idea. Why should City keep giving these turds headlines to print?

"City owners attempt to deflect media criticism and scrutiny"

The media can't be beat.

I think City are doing the right thing tbh. Stay quiet, don't engage, law courts will prove us right, clickbait becomes tedium.

I'm starting to see opposition fans turn off from this, they're getting bored of it and are even starting to see through it.
