Basically what the title states, we're going Vegas next year, about 6 - 10 of us. Anyone know of the best places to get a good deal, hotels, etc etc etc.

Most of the big places are OK. check the various booking web sites i.e hotels.com you know the usual suspects. Of course it depends on the price. Dont go cheap-o at a shithole just to save some $$$$ i.e The Circus circus is a grade A dump!!! If you want, have a look, pick a few then ask away!

dude I got back 4 weeks ago been 5 times now and its always best to stay at the Stratosphere Hotel its real cheap I don't see the point in paying loads of money to stay in big hotels when there free to enter also Circus Circus is cheap and has a bar on the side next to Mcdonalds only $1 a drink u can't beat it mate also Stratosphere has a fun fair on top like 1100ft above ground its cool m8 stay there.

I think you're likely to find the best deals online - PRICELINE.com being one place to look.

When I go, I usually stay at the place where the tournament I'm competing in is being held, but on business (non-gambling business) I've been comped at places like Caesars. I imagine if you're ok at being 'off the strip' you'll find some pretty good value hotels.

Regarding what you do when you get there, you're welcome to check this out... if you complete it, you'll get graded and given some 'interesting' results!

(I wrote it to get a few dates when I was still single, ehehe):

"Goodluck!"

PS I think the whole of Vegas is like one giant wall-to-wall slot machine, and I don't particularly care much for it. One hotel (although some of the 'prestige' ones are a bit OTT) is much the same as the other to me when you're there.. but then I have never been there to vacation, only to 'work'.

Totally depends on what kind of experience you want. Tell us what sort of time you want to have, what you want to do, and what level of hotel you expect, and I can give you some ideas. I've got my last few deals by booking direct with the hotels and locking into the deals they are running. I've also played most of the golf courses around there if you want tips for that. The golf there is great, and a good way to break up the casino and club scene.

ive been a few times, and i think the best in terms of price/location is tressure island.
Stayed at the monte carlo which was good and cheap, but its at the end of the strip. So we chose treasure island cause its in the middle of the strip pretty much, and isn't far from old vegas either.

Spend the day drinking in the local wetherspoons, there`s currently a 2 for 1 deal
or walking around cheethams park then stay at one of the following.
Travellers call on wakefield road with good accomadation & hospitable landlady.
Waggon & horses on Mottram road always a good pint and spacious rooms.
Old hunters tavern on acres lane, real log fire and quiz nights on thursdays.
All at competitive prices and readily available.

It really was just a matter of time!!!!

jus got back from L.A and went 2 vegas 4 a nite, stayed at the stratosphere, $50 for a twin room, so $25 each for a really nice room an a queen bed. only thing is, its right at the top of the strip, so its a bit of a mish to get to the other end. but id defo recommend it!! If ur scared of heights, dont go to the top!!!
