Apart of the course is Christy O Connor were you pay €375 to become a member of the course and on top of that you pay green fees a fucking joke as it is the same course to play good test.
Around were I live in Dublin in either direction of a 15-20 minute drive I have a choice of 10 or more golf courses.
totally agree mate.....i made the error of joining fairfield gold club a few years back, set me back £650. At weekends, you couldn't get a game because of either senior, junior or womens tournaments. Tuesdays was seniors day, thursdays was ladies day. I had to take holidays from work just to get a game of golf in.
I could play with a member for £15, so to make my £55 a month fees worthwhile i had to get in 4 games a week and i just couldn't manage it, mostly down to the club.
