good book suggestions

'Marching Powder'.
True story about an English bloke in Bolivian prison. Class book mate.
'Jungle' is also a good book.
Or 'Shantaram' but this is a big one.

to kill a mocking bird........did it for my gcse's about 6 years ago and have loved it ever since, one of my all time faves.

anything by bill bryson is also pretty good....

for an involving fiction go for a Dan Brown, brilliant reads.

Forgot to add - The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett. It's the first of his Discworld novels. I gave it to a friend who was reading it on the plane to USA - she kept bursting out laughing and the chap next to her thought she was a loony!

If you want something mystery/crime try Manchester Blue by Eddie Shah I'd recommend The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but even in paperback it's a huge brick of a book - might put you over the baggage llimit - best crime novel I've read in years.

Must admit - it took me a while to get into 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' - but loved it in the end. I have just finished the follow on - 'The Girl who played with Fire' which is even better than the first. Can't wait till the last one is translated into English 'The Girl who kicked the Hornet's Nest'

Another author - who I have recently got into Stuart Macbride (from Aberdeen) - his last book 'Fleshhouse' was also a good read.
