Good feeling about Anfield

Not confident at all. Just like I haven't been for this one and expected us to lose. These cup matches came in worst part of the season and one who decided to put them in the most busy period of the year is a moron.

These two months are just too brutal for us and fixtures we got in them could never finish good, specially when injuries accompanied Yaya's move.

It's late now but I wish we did have guts to play kids in cups this season. Our squad is heavily overused and I'm afraid it could turn to even worst than it is with injuries.

We're still not ready to fight on multiple fronts and I guess we were over ambitious. We should just go for League, specially since we knew it's ACON year.

We should have prepared better with Yaya missing by sorting out a short term loan player or at least nurturing Suarez for a possible role.

Yes there are loads of players out there with Yaya's ability and prescence who we could go and get on loan.

Ffs we knew he would be a loss ,but hoped others would step up to the plate, with the unexpexcted loss of Kompany and now Silva it hasn't happened...............Yet.

I also feel quite positive about Anfield.

The only thing that worries me is the defence. I can see us scoring the goals I'm just worried we'll concede as well. Lescott needs to be at his best and Savic will need to step up and show us what Mancini saw in him.

If we concede the first goal then we could well be in trouble as it will be a long way back from 2-0 down against a team who are as good defensively as Liverpool are. Hopefully a goal within the first 15 minutes (just like they did) to wipe out the lead, and then we play with freedom and confidence and go on and win convincingly.

It's possible, ofcourse, but for me not likely, wasn't confident before last night, especially since we lost Vinnie and Silva aswell as the ACON players.

The biggest thing though is that the scousers are absolutely desperate to get some silverware, ANY silverware, and at any cost, the worst thing that could have happened in this tie (or virtually any match they play in) was for them to get a lead, as we saw last night what they were prepared to do to retain that lead, I don't think that attitude will change in the return leg unless we score first, this means everything to them this season.

Knowing where you are, I bet you got some stick last night Steve lol?

Haha I got a few texts during the first half. Went very quiet late on.

To be fair the reds around here arent anywhere near as bad as the bluenoses. Lose to them and they all come out of the woodwork!

Would fancy a full strength City no problem, but with the players that will be,and likely to be out at Anfield, then the Mickeys will get their big day out at Wembley.

I have to agree, their current best available has more strings to its bow and is more fluid and balanced than ours,we will not make the final.

Went to Anfield in 81 with a 1-0 deficit. Played one of the best teams in the country off the park with a far inferior team to what we have now.

In fact we went 2 down on aggregate early doors as most of us were queuing to get in (long escort from Lime St).. Anyway we got the equaliser to make it 1-1 and the scousers were hanging on for dear life for the rest of the game.

Keep the faith I say as those Scouse cunts think they are already at Wembley.

We are well capable of winning at Anfield, especially with Silva in the side.

Our luck has to change soon. We rode it a bit from April last year until about December this year, but since then we've had awful luck.

Lady luck owes us now.

Mancini should have no problem instilling an 'us against the world' mentality in the lads over the next few weeks, god knows things look bleak with the injuries, suspensions and ACON.

But, we are more than capable of playing any fucker off the park, and a 'rocking' Anfield shouldnt make any difference to what is happening on the pitch, it certainly wont be a patch on Napoli.

I think Micah at CB with Lescott and Zaba at RB offers us more than Savic, not slagging the lad, he just didnt look ready to step into a game like last night at short notice - needs a more gradual introduction.
