Thoughts on Stuart Pearce

I think Pearce did a very good job at City Kept us in the league almost got us in UEFA after KK walked. What most have to remember is that it was his first (full time role as a manager) some poor signings but we had no money then plus he kept us in the league.

So i think he well be a great manager also learning his trade under Cappelo.

He's going the right way about it.

City was a learning curve for him and I think gone are the days where you can expect to get results and performances from players running up and down the touch line and shouting for 90 mins.

Taking on the U21's aswell as the City job was a bad mistake.

He can only learn under Capello though and I think it wont be long before he returns to club management a different manager than the one we had at our club.

Always liked Pearce he was always willing to learn, but not the best time to have been City manager. I expect him to continually improve.

Poor signings, made us defensively strong but ridiculously bad up front. Overall, he wasn't exactly great but an amazing guy.

Was funny watching him when we scored though lol. Top guy and man of his word which in todays game is very rare.

Yes this ^^^ top bloke, wasn't ready when we had him though.

Be a good manager in the not too distant future I'd say.

Will become a good manager, his stint with us was a big job too soon especially in the financial circumstances we were in.

I would prefer to forget the Pearce era, not so much because of him but because we had no money.

We should have kept hold of him, one of the future great managers without a doubt, he started exactly right with building the defence first, and on a shoestring budget for the most part.

Had he had half of the money suddenly found for Sven there would never have been any problems, he still did well with half a team of kids, but was left short in key area`s thanks to buget restraints at vital times, and even when his team played badly they were still ten times more watchable than clueless hughes`s...........and lack of effort and commitment was never an issue with SP in charge.
