Good result.

Would have taken a point before the game so its an acceptable result not a good one.Was a fair result, while we had more possession they looked the more dangerous on the break.
Doesnt stop it being as frustrating as hell to see we still cannot see out a game.

There are lots of ways you could look at this result. Good, acceptable, disappointing, frustrating, lucky, unlucky etc.

I don't think there's one word that sums it up really. They could have been 2 or 3 up at half-time. They were in our faces and didn't give us time to settle. It also didn't help that our passing, on the rare occasions we had the ball, was relatively poor. But we went in 0-0 which was OK and then dominated the second half. But we still didn't create many chances and failed to shoot a few times.

But we got the goal thanks to a great piece of skill from Micah and looked comfortable. I couldn't see them getting back in it. But the crucial moment I thought was when Etherington had the ball and Micah just barged into him when he was going nowhere and he had nothing on. From then, they set up a spell of pressure that eventually saw us give away a goal.

So i wouldn't say it was a good result but in the end it was a decent point, all things considered.

I mentioned on the match-day thread that I thought that the draw was definitely a fair result.

I'm surprised to see some people say all we did is "hoof it" as that simply isn't true. We could say that all you did was prat about in your own half for long periods of the game (which would be closer to the truth if we're honest.)

During the second half a mixture of you massively upping your game and us losing two key players meant that once you got in front (thanks to some sloppy defending and very poor keeping) I really couldn't have imagined that we would find a way back into the game before our well worked goal.

Some of you may be disappointed after conceding late on but to have a go at how we play isn't really on. During that first half we were far the better team and could have scored two or three. If you're going to grumble about anything I would have thought your first half showing should be what you're focusing on rather than our performance.

As I said on the other thread, proper game, good atmosphere and a fair result that wasn't really influenced by the usually shite, Peter Walton.

yhp, I'm happy, we'd have lost that game a year ago, yeah Kolo may have made an error but he's normally a rock for us, stop the knee-jerking it's silly.
My prob is that we were losing last season and rescued a point - you could say that showed more character

we didn't deserve to win it imo

but I'd have taken a point beforehand anyway considering recent visits there

shame we didn't sneak it like the rags did and there remains that annoying difference

I'm not sure I'd say its a good result, more like ok'ish. But the way it happened it feels like a loss for many of us, and rightly so, we threw it away rookie style - but that is nothing new for us and city.

One positive thing could be now even the most deluded and optimistic will see that challenging for the title this year, is incredible unrealistic. Because this is exactly the matches we need to win to challenge. A draw could work for top 4 though. But the way spurs has been playing compared to us, I'm not too optimistic.

Gutted to lose last min, but a draw is not a bad result. What's this rubbish about poor performance??? City were miles better team second half. Late goals happen to everyone it's a fact if life, you can never get rid of em. Six points out Of the next two and we are in a very good position.

Fair post mate, good luck for the rest of the season. And please do the rags.
