Good result.

Not a bad result. We are a very hard team to beat and are starting to forge an unbeaten run together. We need 6 points from Bolton and West Ham now. Today was always going to be difficult. At least we cant get moved from 4th position. The main thing is to consolidate 4th and im sure the best is ahead of us. Still gutted about the last minute goal though.

Good result and performance, but gutted that we didn't win after conceding so late. Arsenal & Utd have all thrown winning positions away in the last minute.
The more important thing is that we picked up a point away at a difficult place to play, and we played well

To get a point away at Stoke is a good result for a team who wants to challenge for a top 4 slot. Today blew away my unrealistic expectations that we might have had a shot at the title this season, I truly believe that whilst we have the players, we simply don't have the will to win or the grit and determination to grind out wins. Hopefully that will come as the squad beds in.

So no title, but on the evidence of our top 4 rivals, that is not a bad result against Stoke.
At the moment, it doesn't feel like a good result. A so-so performance, but two minutes away from 3 valuable points. We have to compare what our rivals have done/will do at Stoke (we are competing with those rivals for a top 4 (top 3?) spot. IIRC, Spurs have won there already this season, as have Norwich. Liverpool lost there (Liverpool are shite this season though), and i can't remember Arsenal or Chelsea playing there yet (too lazy to check). I guess 1 point is better than fuck all, but to be that close to all 3; very frustrating.

No. Its not a good result is it?

We were 90 seconds away from 3 points and we leave with 1.

Think about it.

Mancini and the City players will be bitterly disappointed in the dressing room .... because they know that they should really have won this ......... that proves that what you're saying , which i completely agree with by the way , is right!

How precisely? Teams that are so slow in their build up play trade in a lot of attacking threat in exchange for keeping their shape and remaining solid in defence. We do the slow build up part but still manage to be stretched to breaking point every time someone attacks.

We'll find out at the end of the season whether it was a good result or not.

We cannot win the title this season without putting games like this to bed and it'll happen more than once this year so that's my expectation.. Tbh, 4th,3rd,2nd makes no difference to me which one, we are on target for at least 4th so its a good result at the moment. I'm just happy with the second half we took them to the cleaners for most of it so roll on Salzburg who we should demolish at home.

Can see us missing out again if this carries on - Spuds have won twice there in last 2 seasons and we drew last season so no improvement. 6 points from next 2 is a must

I watched the first half on line and to be honest would have settled for a point at half time, yes it was a bit disapointing in the end to concede that goal and i'am sure the players will be even more gutted,so in the end not a disaster so onwards and no doubt about it upwards.

Stoke were the better side and a win for Man city would have been real hard on them. Begovic had nothing to do all game and felt he should have saved the goal you scored.

Losing Pennant meant Stoke losing their shape until Tuncay moved up front. Despite a 10 minute spell when Man City had a lot of ball they caused us no problems at all. Great we got a late goal but overall is two points dropped for Stoke I feel based on the 90 minutes
