Goodbye Mario? (merged)

I think Mario was going to command a decent fee from any top team in Europe.

He is still a great a player and his movement was the best in the league by a long way. His downfall was how long it took him to adapt to the English game and blame for that should also lie with the management team. He quickly got on the wrong side of referee's because of his early antics and was then treated harshly by both them and the FA (His 'stamp' on Parker his sending off against Liverpool) He was pushed, pulled and kicked all over the place in pretty much every game and was never given a thing.

I saw the writing on the wall for Mario v Sunderland at home this season. He got pulled and kicked all over the place and wasn't given a thing.

Also the witchhunt in the British media labelling him as 'crazy' and as the has been Hansen said 'Stupid Mario' was outrageous and totally uncalled for, they'd never go after a 'big 4' player the way they went after Mario.

I also never understood why he was generally played out wide when his best games for us and Italy were when he was played on his own up top.

Thanks for the memories Mario, I'll always look back fondly on your time here. The pass to Aguero, the penalties, the FA Cup Semi, the wink, the Final, the penalties and most of all the 6-1. I've never seen the rags so scared of a player at Old Trafford since Real Ronaldo and then Kaka took them apart in the CL.

Good luck and I hope you dont come back to haunt us.

I'm going to miss hearing the standard Mancini monologue at every press conference, "Eet is-a important that ehhh Mario work-a hard at-a training. He was-a ill at the start of the week, but he join us-a today for-a training"

Ciao Mario, ci vediamo

So weakening the squad is deserving of credit? No it isn't.

Getting a decent fee where you'd think we'd usually get dudded is deserving of credit, especially considering his volatility, his form and his eyes firmly on Milan the entire time. Frankly, I think they're wasting their money.

I hardly think it's weakening the squad when he hardly plays and when he does contributes nothing.

Because there was every chance he would run into a bit of form and now we only have three strikers until the end of the season. What harm would there have been in keeping him until the summer?

The lad hated being here Pam, once he became a father he was always going to go, his head wasn't really here in the first place. He shot over to Italy at every available opportunity, even gatecrashing that press conference. No sorry best to get rid, at last some decent transfer business by city. Good player just not for us.

Good luck Mario, thanks for all the memories. I hope he becomes one of the best strikers around. Hopefully AC Milan can get the best out of him. Think he is misunderstood but also has alot anger that needs to be controlled. Wish the media would leave off him and comment purely on footballing matters.

My Memories

The pass to aguero QPR
Motm FA Cup Final
Standing up to Ferdinand and that mob after the FA Cup Semi
Last Minute Penalty against spurs (The Penalty King!)

Make me laugh with the DM´s Goodbye Good riddance headline!

Who the hell will they bully now.

Good luck Mario, the majority of City fans wish you it!

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

He was total gash apart from an odd moment here and an odd moment there.

The adulation he received baffles me as he was treated like one of the true greats which he wasn't.

Now before anyone asks, no I didn't go to York away but I did go to Bury away in 1966!! We lost 2-1.

I'm glad he's gone and hopefully his useless Uncle will follow him!!

Why did I suddenly imagine a commentator saying "Oh my god, and with that, John Guidetti has already scored 3 times as mario balotelli this season in ONE match! Incredible!"

i thought he was denying paternity. And I agree he seemed to hate being here but staying for another four months was hardly a life sentence.

Hope he goes on to become the best player in the world.
I hope I win the lottery at the weekend and Eva Mendes flies in to suck me off.

But that's never going to happen either.
