We have more than enough defensive cover in midfield now though mate. We need more creative players. As it stands, we only have Johnson, Silva and a possibly departing Ireland.

We've got a long season coming up, where play at least 45 games - possibly as many as 60. We'll need flair players peaking at different times.

True and his link up play with Chamakh was a joy to watch last season.

If we're going for another creative player though, I'd be banging on PSG's door for Sessegnon.

He'd be perfect for the Prem.

Haven't seen enough of him to be honest. I'll bow to your superior knowledge on this one mate.

We wont be getting Gourcuff as we've got Silva already.

I dont see how having silva changes anything.
We have silva yet we're still after Milner and Milner plays in the same positions as Gourcuff.

From what I saw of him in the world cup I would only be happy paying 2 mil for what I was of him. Saying that non of the French footballers covered themselves in glory during the world cup.

Just my opinion, but Gourcuff is one of the most overrated players in the world. I've seen quite a bit of him in the last two seasons, and even in a very poor French league he had a tendency to drift in and out of games. No question he has bags of technical ability, but for the moment he is genuinely no better than Ireland, not a patch on Silva, and almost the same age as both of them...

I have to agree with this. When I've seen him he looks like a very skillful but painfully slow player. He needs too much time on the ball to do what he does well and he won't get anything like the time he needs in the Prem. He'd possibly do well in Italy but not here. I think this would be a disasterous signing for this reason.
