He was convicted in his own country by its own legal system. What business do we have in questioning that. The admissibility of evidence should be argued in court in Jordan not here. If he hadn't gone on the run he could have made that argument.
So as long as something is legal by the laws of their own country, we should leave them to it?
Yes.

As long as its between a country's court and it's own citizen, what business is it of ours?
Did that apply in the years 1933-1945?
Don't see how the situations are in any way comparable.

-- Sun Jul 07, 2013 10:48 pm --

Erm, persecution was perfectly legal in Nazi Germany. We're surely not allowed to question the laws of another country. Any Jews seeking asylum here should have been rightfully deported yes?

You really are a monumental cûnt and one of the main reasons Off Topic has become shite. How in God's fucking name you can view Britain in 2013 to Nazi Germany? again, what a monumental cûnt.

Oh, I have been drinking!

As I said in an earlier post, Jordan is not recognised as a country that generates asylum seekers due to war or internal repression. The same can't be said for Nazi Germany.

Is torture not repression then? Oh, and tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of Palestinian victims of Jordanian brutality would disagree with you.

-- Sun Jul 07, 2013 11:59 pm --

Indeed, you have been drinking. We're comparing torture used in Jordan to obtain evidence, with similar abuses that happened in Nazi Germany starting in 1933.
