Govt set to take over running of Liverpool according to report

But it’s not. The report into the running of the council has been backed by local Labour MPs. The only people speaking out about it include Len McClusky (heavily involved with the principal property developer) and Derek Hatton (under police investigation).

This is a left wing Labour council that has run Liverpool for decades that is rotten to the core.

Any particular thoughts on that or does everything just relate to the Tories in your world?
I agree with you.
Having looked into it, my previous comment was incorrect.

Honest Bob Jenrick has got a nerve - after all the dodgy contracts and deals he's been associated with - FFS

So that makes it OK?

Absolutely not but giving a corrupt regional government to a corrupt central government just changes one bunch of crooks for another - and the people running Westminster just now are a serious bunch of crooks.

Maybe it means they are not as corrupt as you believe?

Apparently corruption is fine because the Tories are [allegedly] at it.

By the logic of some on here I could go murder my neighbour but then offer a defence of “I’m not as bad as that Fred and Rose West”

I don't recall antone saying it was fine, but that it was a joke a bent government wants to step in to sort out a bent council, both are dodgy cunts and need giving the boot.

Liverpool offcials are not worth their purpose and need removing, with new elections to choose a new honest council.

"Rishi Sunak managed to successfully steer around 90 per cent of a £1 billion towns fund to Conservative constituencies in the Budget."

"A National Audit Office report released in July revealed 61 of the 101 towns in the original list were chosen by ministers led by Communities Secretary Robert Jenrick – and all but one of these were either Tory-held seats or targets. It included his own constituency of Newark."

What he did is not illegal. You said the Conservatives were corrupt, that isn't.
Are you really comparing that to what is alleged against the Mayor, his son and Degsy?

No.

This was unlawful though:

There's a distinction between personal corruption (illegal) and financial gerrymandering (legally spending taxpayers' money for party advantage).

Or funnelling state money to your lover (Johnson / Arcuri).

And that's before we get to the PPE contracts to cronies, sorry "contacts".

It's all corruption.
