Poll's refereeing career can be safely compared to a busted flush. He was another one who thought that the quality of his decisions rested on his ability to be on first name terms with the player, particulary the ones who had a measure of talent. Last nights officials performance for me was up there with the performance of the officials in the Chelsea v Barcelona game where Drogba lost it.
When you have such blatant cheating in a high pressured game, its no wonder Drogba and Mancini confronted the refs.

This is the only thing worth looking into, the performance or lack of it from all 5 officials but like Drogbas, nothing will come of it except bans for the parties screwed over
