Did anyone watch Sky Sports after the rags game?

I switched it on after I got in from the match and they were talking about our game and Glenn Hoddle was making little excuses about them selling Bale and you could tell Souness was getting wound up, he then mentioned about Tottenham spending £100M on "strengthening" the squad then turned around and said (in a metaphorical sense) "If you were a supporter would you rather have a season ticket at City or Tottenham at them moment?" Hoddles face was priceless the guy looked fucking gutted!!

Souness is about the only person on Sky at the moment that talks out of his mouth rather then his arse!

Souness from what i have seen is pretty fair in what he says and someone whom to me at least to be pretty impartial.

Think rat biy also does a decent job

After these two i struggle
Those two, Alan Smith and squeeky Carragher are four decent pundits. Smith seems quite boring but what he says is usually spot on and he's actually quite a cool guy. Carragher's vocabulary needs some work, as does his high pitched "eerrmm"s but at least he isn't a monotone bore-fest like Dwight "says lots of words but actually says nowt insightful" York and the sad bitter Cockney arsehole Jamie Redknapp.

I remember his after match comments following the QPR game when we won the league. He kept having sly digs at Neville, he could hardly contain his glee. I reckon he is a closet blue ;)

When we won the league Neville said something like "you'll hear words like dynasty, dominance, power shift..." then Souness cut him off and said something like "all the words you don't want to hear" with a big smirk on his face!

His wife's a City fan, I remember him saying it a few years ago.

I'm not so sure because it was all over the papers prior to the promotion game in 2000 as every paper was saying they'd go easy on City as his wife would have a word being a City fan herself. He came out in the pre match build up and said his father in law is a STH at City but his wife was a red. Maybe she's seen the light since!!

souness called it weeks ago."people are gonna wake up to just how good this guy is soon",he was talking about negrado,he also said him and Sergio would take us to the title, just saying like.

I remember him saying his father-in-law was a City fan but I thought I'd read somewhere so was his wife unless that was a mistake. Either way he must get some earache from his father-in-law at least on the City side of things so maybe he gets it pointed out to him and can now see some of the bias against us.

Got to echo previous posters.

Souness is spot on. Always pleased to see him in the studio. He called it right with Tevez in Munich that time too even when Hughes was trying to make excuses for him in the studio. A man of integrity.

Alan Smith is the Steve Davis of football.

Get on him when he commentates Arsenal. Clearly has an Arsenal dildo up his arse and his cock in his Arsenal gloved hand. Blatant.

One of the few pundits out there that talks sense and not absolute twaddle catering to the masses by dissing City.

He was no nonsense on the pitch and he is no nonsense off the pitch...
It baffles me how he wasn't successful as a manager,if he talks in the dressing room the way he does in the studio then imo you'd want to run through brick walls for him...
Great pundit, could listen to him all day,i just wonder why lying,,bullshitters r us talksport havn't invited the honest, straight talking souness onto the boiled bollock brazil breakfast show......
Hmmm it's a tricky one....

Sorry - not taking part in this love in for a Player who was as overrated as Gerrard and almost as vicious as Keane.

Shit Manager as well.

Straight from the 2sheikhs book of marital relations.
Chapter 1 ; Don't say anything that might piss the wife off.

You are right as a manager but Souness as a player was fucking unbelievable.

You couldn't have seen much of him is all I can say.

Top bloke along with ratboy as a pundit.

Souness the pundit always talks sense imho. Souness the player, you would always want him playing for you, not against you. Sure it was Gerry Gow who once kicked Souness with the ball no where in sight, good old Gerry eh, tough as old boots, didn't take any prisoners did he? lol #legend

Depends how you define successful, doesn't it? Not a bad list of managerial honours below, I think most managers would be happy to have as many trophies as he won. There are good managers and then there are great managers, and then there is the category of revolutionaries (such as Sacchi) who redefine football at one club and fail to live up to expectations at other clubs. I doubt he had the same hunger or interest as he did in his earlier days, and you can understand really- he achieved all he could as a player and is already a wealthy man. Not exactly a pub player like Steve McClaren or his greedy mate Redknapp.
