Graham Souness

Really want to watch the pre and post mach analysis - ive asked on the match day thread for the download of the spurs game if they are included or if its just the match. Anyone know?

Well said, I forgot to set the box on record before I left for the game and would like to see Souness wipe the floor with Hoddle

After the Tevez incident in Munich:

Hughes: "The thing with Tevez is that he just wants to play"

Souness (looking baffled at the idiot sitting next to him): "Well, clearly not"

Really like the guy. Sky have some awful people working for them but they also have the best in Souness, Neville and Carragher.

:O

Carragher is shocking.

It's been a few years, but I used to chat with Souness and his missus in a certain establishment in the Hale Barns area. I can confirm that his missus is a big blue and that he is a friendly chap.

I agree as a player he was almost peerless but that as a manager he really only achieved the minimum expected of the actual teams he managed.

Hoddle's always been a plonker though...

Add Gary Neville into that as well, both brilliant pundits.

He was a dirty cynical nasty fucker of a player though.

This.

As good a pundit as Soreness is, I can't forget what a dirty bastard he was on a football field.

I know the game was different then, and it was only a few years after Hunter, Harris - and Mike Doyle - were at their best (worst?), but he was as dirty as any player I have ever seen, with the possible exception of Billy Bremner.

Personally I'd go for Peter Storey but yes Souness is up there with them

The post match analysis is at the very start of the Cardiff v Rags broadcast. The coverage of our game ends after the final whistle before they go back to the studio.

If you are prepared to disinfect your PC, you could go onto red cafe and download it from their.

Others have mentioned it in this thread, but it was so embarrassing listening to that idiot Hoddle before, during and after the game. He has NO IDEA and comes out with some absolute garbage. At one stage he went on and on and on for about 10 minutes about the same old rubbish and you could see/sense Souness just itching to get stuck into him.

Where do SKY get these 'pundits' from? It's like 'Goals on Sunday', where they have a small 'select' group who they invite on week after week.

It could be worse, though. MOTD's 'experts' are a joke.

Thanks for the pointer, it's probably worth it as I missed Cardiff's last minute equaliser. I would also like to see Moyles' face as Cardiff's second hits the back of the net, the massive horrible dour ****.

Adebayor warms up on the touchline and both Glenda and Souness have their say.

Hoddle - "This is an interesting one because AVB is saying 'Let's make it 3-3 here'

Souness - "(Adebayor) is a kidder. He plays only for himself"

One comment almost nonsensical in its naivety.

The other opinionated and forthright.

Sums them both up for me.

Richard Keys was the same on Al Jazeera. It was killing him that it was all over at half time. He comes out with 'City were once 3-0 down at Spurs and won 4-3, can Spurs do it this time?'. No mention of City won 7-0 in their last game, can they go on and do it again!

The BBC are the same. They seem to think that professional sportspeople, especially those who spent years at the top of their sport, are endowed with some Kiergegaardian insight into what has actually happened on the field. MotD invariably caption The Creosote King with how many goals he scored in the PL, as if this qualifies him to come up with a pertinent and intelligent analysis of what we have just seen.

did you make a bet last night?

Good pundit. He was a nasty sod on the pitch at times but one of those who you'd much rather have with you than against you. And any bloke who has the guts to run on the pitch and plant your team's flag on the centre spot after you've played your hated rivals gets my vote!

Most pundits say what most people want to hear that I,d say that more spurs arsenal liverpool rags and chelsea fans tune into sky than do blues souness is an exception he says what he believes is true and does, nt give a f**k what people think. For everone on here that thinks souness is right and a good pundit there, s millons over the country that will be slagging him off now saying he does, nt no what he is talking about.

Always respected him and his opinions are normally spot on, although not populist which is why he doesn't rub along with some of the lickspittles at $ly and the beeb.

I haven't watched motd for 2 seasons now and probably won't until they change the format and composition of the panel.

For me 95% of pundits are pure cowards, just like 65% of referees and 110% of the premier and fa ?

''Lickspittles''? Fucking hell; I've just been transported back in time to Victorian England!

There was nothing naive about Hoddle's comment. He was clearly questioning the (in)sanity of AVB's decision.

He spoke really highly of Negredo in an article on Sky Sports I read.

As for Souness, well......

You know where you stand with Souness, he knows football, and not only would he call a spaded a spade, he'd make you dig a hole with it before smacking you round the head and then burying you. Always quality!
