Not really. Who would you prefer? Busquets, matic, kroos, khedira, alonso. They are all "slow as fuck". And xhaka is the heartbeat of the gladbach side, he isnt slow as fuck.

This kind of player is exactly what we have been in need of for some time. Doesnt matter if its Bisc or Xhaka as they would both fit Peps plan... 23 yo and as said caps MGB, something that we often miss too, another leader on the pitch. 30-39m would be small pennies for the diffrence this type of player would make for our structure and balance in the future.

We've never really replaced Barry/ De Jong. 1st priority IMO.

I agree. I've said on numerous threads our midfield is the area we need to strengthen the most.
Pep loves midfielders, so I'm hoping for a complete overhaul of that area in the summer. Fernandinho will most probably stick around but at 31 he isn't someone we should be leaning too heavily on.

He allegedly has a €20m release clause but it can't be activated until summer next year.

But that's fairly hypothetical seeing as there are a whole list of clubs after him and, although he's stated fairly explicitly that he wants to play for Pep, he might go somewhere else if we stall.

I think our defensive problems stem from not controlling or protecting from midfield plus we create so little for Aguero.
