Of course, however he feels is valid because it's down to the individual, but it is a pity that he was satisfied with achieving what he did the once. He has the talent to have pushed to another level and become the driving force in a top team. Very few people get to the point where they've earned that as their next challenge, it's such a pity he just hasn't fancied it.

Impossible to expect every transfer to end up like Sergio, silva, Komps, kdb.

He/we achieved the impossible dream. You can’t knock his role, not major but important.

Jack has been awful this season, no interest in taking over the mantle. Nice lad and a good player but not what is now needed in a rebuild.

If we we regroup £40 million after the service provided then that will be acceptable to what we have achieved.

Shame really but players must leave to allow new ones to step up out of their shadow.

That list will almost certainly be leaving.

Can’t emphasise enough the challenges of recruiting the right players. Fingers crossed this summer is an upgrade on the past.

He’s got two more years on the books at 300,000 a week.
Napoli, Brighton, Fulham are going to pay him anything around that?
Based on the last two years he is hardly a 150,000 a week player, especially as he is approaching 30

Kalvin reportedly is earning around 150,000 range per week, and we see how that is going.

I would be shocked if he takes a massive pay cut since this is likely his final big contract, so I’m just interested to see what happens.

I hope I’m wrong as well.
 
He had the potential to be another Mahrez, giving us real delivery and goals from the left. Instead he occasionally flattered to deceive. He could be that missing link we need in CM but I don't think he has the mentality and I'm sure Pep doesn't think it either.

Wow, could you be any more condescending?
When we are facing a packed defence week in week out it’s not completely stupid to want a wide player who beats his man every now and then.
How many games have we had lately where our best chance of beating the low block is when Doku gets in behind?
 
As many have said, a great guy with a very caring attitude, but he just partied too much to stay at the required level our club is at. I am sure he could go back to villa, put a shift in and get by for the rest of his career, but he ain't world class. I do wish him all the best as he does seem a real gent.
 
The price tag was always going to hang around his neck and I don't even blame him for that. Villa set the price and we paid it so if you want to blame anyone for him being here and being a "waste of money", then blame whoever on our end signed off on it.

He should've played more this season instead of running Foden and Bernardo into the ground and having de Bruyne and Gundo play more than they can handle.

Shame really because I still think there's a good player there. Hopefully he goes somewhere he can play regularly and be given more freedom instead of toeing the touch line with no support.

No but it's completely stupid of the uninitiated naysayers to fail to realise the contribution made by a hugely successful player, who's had a hugely successful time at the club, because he doesn't play in the very simplistic way that they want him to.

We faced a low block most weeks during Jack's first 3 seasons at the club, league title winning seasons where we passed teams to death thanks in part to Jack's ability to protect the ball.
 
I think the lad peaked and never came back down to earth after this. It is a real shame cos he seems a top bloke
 
I think we all wanted him to be great here. He was very good in the second half of the treble season but one great spell in 4 seasons is just nowhere near good enough.

I don't think he ever really got a fair chance in his natural position. He shouldn't be out on the wing. You can blame Pep, but it's also Jack's job to impress him enough in training too, so you can decide whose fault it is he was never utilised properly.

Absolutely diamond of a guy with young fans. Changed a lot of people's minds about him, many just thought he was a flash floppy haired lad.

I really hope he goes on to enjoy his football somewhere else and in a position where he can show people what he can do. He's a good player, just needs the right circumstances to show it. Hope he goes and smashes it somewhere else, except against city.
