I may be being alarmist but I'm getting vibes Phil will go the same way. We really can't afford for that to happen. The club need to rally round him this summer and sort it out.

Totally disrespecting foden with that post!

Mental health and serious long term ankle injury that won't clear up is not drinking to your totally pissed!

If he is off then i wish him the best, he was an integral part of that treble winning side.
The £100m fee wasn't his fault but it was always going to follow him around & he'd always be judged against that fee.
I do laugh at people blaming Pep for turning him into a robot, he was never going to be allowed to play a free role like at Villa, top clubs have systems & players have to fit into them.
He'd never be able to play a free role even if he returned to Villa, Emery has his own system & he'd have to fit into that.
Anyway, like i said, if he is going then i wish him the very best

Will forever be thankful for his contributions in the Treble season, but he's ultimately leaving a flop. Went from a key cog, to a bit-part player, to a complete non-entity.

Lovely lad, but does not have the commensurate attitude of a top level athlete.

I can agree Jack Grealish has been mostly a flop in that he lacks goal involvements. I don`t think Pep`s insistence to play him wide has helped, playing wide he has little effect on the game. I always consider Jack as a poor man`s Samir Nasri who IMO was capable of scoring and assisting and better at beating a man. two players with great ball retention.

Foden has more talent in his little toe than Jack's ever had. Why I never wanted us to sign him in the first place as it was clear they'd compromise one another's game time. Phil was always the better footballer so to throw 100 million at Grealish was quite frankly ridiculous.

One of those signings where we went the rags way of dealing with a sudden upturn of events - Messi deal fell through - there was money burning holes in the pocket so here come Grealish.

Reminds me of another one of those mistakes - Nunes because Paqueta deal fell through and Rice said No.

Both players great characters , nice personality but in their own ways not fit to play for city long term. And we burned 150 million because of this. In the days of PSR and FFP these are big big errors and the repercussions are there to see.
Do you really think that is how City do business?

In the same summer that we could have paid that for Kane having no strikers at the time, or even gone for Messi himself on a free.

Hasn't worked out, but he was hardly some throwaway signing to use up the kitty. We targeted him and went to great lengths to get him.

I've disrespected nobody. I never said Phil was a pisshead, but it's clear he has some demons that need addressing.

That's hardly a loss is it? Wish the lad the best, but 4-6 weeks of playing well in the Treble season isn't good enough. In three of his four seasons here we were probably the best team in Europe. Premier League: 21/22: 3 goals 3 assists. 22/23: 5 goals and 7 assists. 23/24: 3 goals and 1 assist. 24/25: 1 goal and 1 assist. Pathetic numbers, at best.

There could be a perfectly reasonable explanation for his ommision from the squad but it does look as if his time at City is over, and to he honest, it's mainly on him.

For me, he's never really looked as if he has ever been truly comfortable at City. He's always looked as if he suffers from a touch of imposter syndrome, this despite being heavily involved in all of our big games during the treble winning season.

He was at Villa since being a small child and made 185 senior appearances for them. He's clearly a supporter too and I do wonder whether it'd meant more to him still being at Villa, during this period of qualifying for the Champions league etc, rather than being at City, regardless of the success and money.

Seems a nice bloke and I wish him no ill, but part of me just wants him to fuck off now as we can't carry mentally weak players that aren't 100% into being at City.

I hope he does the right thing and moves on and doesn't play the game and run down his contract with loan moves. City have given him so much and sadly, he's unlikely to realise this until he's older and out of the game altogether.

Cast your mind back to the end of the treble season where, without any doubt, Jack contributed massively. He then went on a summer bender and has never been the same since.

He has never been the same since violent intruders broke into his home, whilst his family were there and he was not.

That kind of thing changes people. It doesn’t matter how much he loves football etc. He clearly has wanted to step back from “massive football star” world since then.

Amazed how people just forget/ignore this.

Be interesting to see where he goes.

Regardless of what you think of Jack, he will always be part of the famous City Treble winning team. Thanks Jack. (1 of the most iconic pictures in City’s history, and in English football)

Sadly that picture will be what his remembered for, I struggle to think of any iconic moments on the pitch, as said earlier, a great talent but I think he will look back with great regret later in his life. This season he should have become our main man, he sadly is a million miles from that.

If it’s changed him as much as your suggesting and he doesn’t want to be a massive football star, he could retire, he’s got enough money.

You had vibes, Phil. Will go the same way, you said! If you don't explain that, the only conclusion will be a piss head! If you read and listen to everything that's coming out about Foden, it's nothing like Grealish!

You can still play football at top level without that

100 million to be exact.

I’ll miss the cut back on to his right, shoot, blocked.

Although tbf I think he probably read a lot of social media (he admitted he does this) and just stopped shooting completely by the end.

Could have easily gotten Maddison with 30m out of that 100m. A much more better player with no "extra luggage". Pep tried to show the world how much of a genius he is by attempting to reinvent a player and the attempt backfired spectacularly, Jack was Pep's vanity project nothing more, nothing less.
Madison is a high maintenance dick head, never a Pep/City player.

Love the bloke and deffo see what his worth was, but it never really happened for him....think he crumbled under the price tag and never showed the player he was at Villa

Not sure where he goes, he's clearly planted but 29 and coming off a horrible season where he's been caught fucked off his face shows a player in steep decline

Not sure who takes him, Saudi maybe but will lany prem team want him based off his wage, age and potential alcohol problems?

Won't se think in a City kit again, he needs to leave
