Because they didn’t cost £100 million

First thing I thought of as well mate. Can't act surprised and annoyed that you're getting questioned on why a £100 million pound signing on £300k a week isn't even getting in the squad.

No disrespect to Mcatee, Lewis etc but the wider public aren't really interested in them. Media just doing their job. Fair game as far as I'm concerned, however uncomfortable it may be for Pep to have to answer those questions.

He only really has himself to blame. He seems a nice lad, but i cant have much sympathy for a guy on £300k a week that clearly hasnt been putting in the performance level, effort or dedication required by Pep. It seemed like after the treble season this guy just went on holiday mode and never really got back into the condition and level of focus required to kick on. You can forgive a guy for letting his hair down every now and again, especially if their performances on the pitch are good enough to justify it, but unfortunately for Jack that just hasnt been the case.

Every comment starts with a rider here -
He is good boy
He is nice lad

As far as I can see many in that squad are genuinely nice people unless posters here suggest Grealish is the only nice person in squad and others are assholes

1) every comment doesn't start good boy or nice lad, that would be a lie.

2) it's a thread on Jack Grealish not other players. Hence his character is discussed, not a hard concept.

3) no one has suggested other players are assholes. That is also untrue

Yeah. I'm a nice lad, contributed as much as Jack to the win at Fulham and had less alcohol than him during the week too. Where's my £300k?

How much alcohol has he had during the week?

Well he'd have had to have been pretty much teetotal to have beaten me. If you don't want to believe he touched any alcohol at KDB's leaving do in which he was supposedly the last to leave that is up to you.

So plenty of players had alcohol and you didn't have hardly any.

Don't spend that 300k in your mind mate I don't think it's coming your way:-)

When we signed Jack, he’d played more games in the Championship than the Premier League. I think that’s always been part of his mindset at City; he doesn’t have the mindset of a player at a top club, he’s always come across like he can’t believe he’s here.

He doesn’t play with the intensity or consistency of having to turn up at an elite level twice a week. He’s happy to just do it twice a month and have a good time in between.

He’s a good lad and a good player but we need more than that.

I think you're fully aware what I said was tongue in cheek.

Regardless of whether he did or didn't drink to excess at KDB's leaving do, he doesn't help himself at all being pictured as the last person coming out of the place. It's not great optics and he should have the intelligence and awareness not to be putting himself in that position by now.

I'm sure the others had alcohol too, but I would imagine done so in moderation with more self control. A player that isn't established in the team should be doing all they can do to get back in it. Leave earlier than the others, show some professionalism. Unfortunately I don't think he has that desire and on £300k a week he's stealing a living.
