I was once on a train in the same carriage as Richard Whitely, the late Countdown presenter who had a fondness for red wine. It was in the mid 90's when mobile phones were first starting to be widely used. One bloke stood up and walked up and down the carriage talking very loudly into his phone. He had been interviewing and give a run down of each candidate before announcing "I want to appoint Fiona". When he sat down there was short silence before Whitely piped up "I think you should appoint George". He then conducted an hilarious poll of everyone in the carriage in a bid to obtain support for George. Very, very funny and totally humiliated the idiot on the phone.
