I'm reading a book at the moment called Hellraisers. It's about the life and times of Richard Burton, Richard Harris, Peter O'Toole and Oliver Reed and their exploits through alcohol. Eye opening and a funny read. Oliver Reed it seems once knocked back 126 pints in just 24 hours, heaven knows who counted them all;)

The bar owner where Reed suffered his heart attack and died was quoted as saying, "he'd drunk six pints and six double G&T's and was warming up for a decent session "
