Why is it?

Possibly because innocent Greek folk hardly deserve ethnic unrest and virtual civil war, massive rates of HIV/Aids,and a near-constant state of famine and malnutrition simply because their politicians are corrupt and incompetent.
Our banks have fucked up on a similar scale, but us taxpayers have bailed them out.
Perhaps we deserve to emulate Rwanda for our fiscal shortcomings?

Well if he ment that i would agree but he was talking in terms of people lendong money when they have no way of paying it back. Talk about readin way to much into it

Oh,I see - you and you alone have access to the inner sanctum of PB's psyche.
Mere mortals like myself clearly don't have your unique insight into his reasoning,so we tend to go off what he posts, and that stated that Greece should be reduced to third world status for having debt.
That debt is fuck all to do with the millions of working class Greeks who will pay the greatest price, and everything to do with a handful of inept politicians.
But hey - let's just punish those millions anyway - that seems reasonable.
Maybe the problem is that you yourself should read a little more into things before your predictable knee-jerk,nodding-dog apologist for the right wing of off topic status kicks in.
I like you as a poster, but your predictable defence of anyone on the right is becoming tiresome.
And when either SWP's back or gordondaviesmoustache are absent, you do tend to look a tad out of your depth, and seem to be a cheerleader without a team.

Blimey mate it was a sunday moning post i didnt put much thought into it.
Of course the whole country of Greece suffers for the politicians fuck ups. I read into it myself as the world should view handing them money as they would do Somalia. Although knowing PB he was fishing for a laugh. The problem is that Greece will default it is inevitable and then nobody will want to give them money and they will struggle big time and currently there finacial woes are rated the same as a 3rd world country. I read alot of stuff i dont agree with from the right and left and always the liberals on here but as my mind set is more right wing i will always tend be more that way inclined.
Just a quick one though i do feel sorry for the greek people especially some of the stories you hear but me caring is not going to change the fact they are fucked as a nation.

Fair play mate - my hangover wrote that post,so it has fuck all to do with me,but it was harsh, and I apologise.
On behalf of my hangover.
PB fishing?
Surely not.
He wouldn't - would he?
The trouble with those who want to nuke/starve/tarmac Greece is that they don't get the bigger picture, and that picture shows Greek tragedy being followed by Italian farce, and Portuguese meltdown, and if anyone thinks that either the average bloke in those countries deserves his fate,or that we too will not suffer economically for this fiscal domino effect, then they really should be sectioned under the mental health act, because we will - big style.
Whether you see the future as American-led,or that the Asian markets will triumph,(which looks odds-on favourite),a weaker Europe is not a good thing, either economically or militarily.
And a weaker Europe is exactly what is on the cards if we look the other way, shrug our shoulders, and pretend that it could never happen to us.
Because it could.
