Growing Chillies

Those Scorpian Chillies are lovely really enjoyed them. My Dad gave me some Chocolate Jalapeños the other day, thinking they would be like normal Jalapeños I walloped 2 into a chilli I was making. These are not like normal Jalapenos as I found out after a bite, they are a hybrid monster

Any Chocolate variety chilli is hotter mate. Chocolate Scorpions are lethal. My 'mucho nacho' Jalapeños nearly killed my guests when I put them on top of some nachos I did. Had no idea how hot they were.

My mouth's still tingling pal and I ate some over 3 hours ago. Got some new chillies coming through, Peach bhuts, aji citos and a few others, I'll update when I get the chance mate.

Paphos, took cutting from my plant from last year and the new plant has had no flowers on it this summer :-(

Did the plant that you took the cutting from flower?
All I can suggest is make sure that they get plenty of light and spray the plant
With warm water to encourage flower buds.

Always had plenty of flowers on original plant mate. It sits on windowsill in work so gets plenty of light and is always well watered but will try the warm water.

Mine are still flowering in the polytunnel but really need re-potting but my tomatoes are taking up all the big pots and they are still flowering too!

End of October and my chillies are growing and flowering like mad. Cold snap here in the middle of November. Wonder if I can get another crop?

Selling Jam to some lads I work with. They can't get enough. I've called it 'Paphos 7 death jam' as it's made from 7 of the hottest chillies.

Bhut Jolokia
7 Pod
Trinidad Scorpion
Naga Morich
Moruga Blend
Butch T Trinidads
Red Savinas

Main Ingredients are plums and apples which are reduced down with sugar, garlic and lime juice before hell is added. Blended, then reduce again until thickened. This is serious jam and tastes really good with mature cheddar.

Tried the mad dog naga BBQ the other week and although its not deadly hot, it's got a nice taste. Goes well with pulled pork butties.

I'm trying to stay away from extract sauces nowadays as my guts aren't up to it anymore. Will keep a lookout for that mad dog bbq sauce mate, sounds nice mate. The Moruga Madness is a stingy peppery burn which slowly takes off like a Vulcan bomber.

Melinda's and the Karimix are divine in the taste and heat department, thoroughly recommend.

I know what you mean about the extract sauces. Never really thought they have much taste as its just pure heat. Much prefer a pure habonero/naga blend as you get the heat and the fruity taste.

My mate has just got a jar of Satan's shit paste which we will be having a go of this week at work. Not really looking forward to that one ha

I'd do it for the rush only, 15m scov extract is pushing it. (although the whole product aint 15m) I'd say 3 million scovs complete. Still make you puke if you aint used to it.

Haha Strongbow! I wish I was a cow (4 stomachs) cos mine is fucked, although I'll plod on. Waiting for my chocolate bhut jolokias to ripen. My Aji Citos are ripe ( Hottest of all the Aji's) I'll be giving them a bash in a day or two. God rest my soul.
