He was supposed to come to us in the Bobby Manc era but then remembered he was 'Roman' (or a bottler as Gary C no doubt would have said). In fairness he did spend his entire career at Roma and his dad was big there too so he must be pretty pumped to replace maureen till the end of the season. He was an assistant coach under Bobby when he was the Italy manager. Be interesting to see how it pans out for him.
 
Enjoyed watching the footage of that 1961 game. I was a lad at the time and I recall before the match my Dad and his mates thought it would be a tough game for England. They hadn't reckoned with Frank Haffey in goal for the Jocks though !
Watching that, there were some ugly buggers watching Footy in those days :-)
