Guardiola: “If the club wants me, I want to stay here”

I want him to win every title Divison 2,1 the championship and then the premier league whilst simultaneously winning all domestic trophies each season, as we would have no CL. What a ride that would be.

He's not going to go down as one of the greatest unless he gets us relegated. Klopp not only took Mainz to the Bundesliga, he also relegated them and failed to get them back up. Imagine what he could do if he still had some Coutinho money left. Pep needs us to be kicked out of the league with no cash and then he might get some plaudits.

Pep's seen off Moureen & Klipperty, but has the new guns of Arteta, Ange & Poch coming after him, plus whomever takes over from Teeth.

We're evolving the team & tactics to remain a-top the leading pack, & Pep still has the full support of HRH, Khaldoon & his best mates Soriano & Txiki.

In the last week Moureen's been sacked AGAIN, & Klipperty & Xavi have had mental breakdowns & decided to leave their clubs because the pressure to succeed is unbearable.

In comparison, Baldy must feel like Manchester City is football nirvana.

Whilst he is still feeling challenged he will stay I believe.

That was my main conclusion from his documentary. Barcelona was intense. He'd been there as a player and then as manager and off the pitch it was too intense for him, he did everything he needed to and more and I'm not sure he particularly enjoyed it in the end. I really don't think he'd ever go back. Bayern had off the field issues. They had their way of doing things and he had quite public issues with people which were often leaked from outside of his trusted team. The issue with the club doctor for example.

He's got everything he needs at City. He's got a board that fully support him. If he doesn't like something they'll change it for him because they know he's the critical piece. They never put that pressure of winning the CL on his back, the media did but he achieved it anyway.

Why leave? He doesn't have the pressure from the fans or club he had elsewhere. Everything is perfect to him to keep succeeding at City and he has a squad of players that keep listening and keep buying into what he's trying to do. We love him. Whether he wins the lot or nothing we know he's the right man and he has our support so in his downtime he can actually relax.
Whilst I agree with every word, including the fact that there is no better job in world football, my concern is different.

He’s a sensible, intelligent and decent man and he might well want more time with his family. An international job might provide that, or even some sort of different role somewhere. Or a sabbatical or semi retirement.

I just can't see him doing international management, club football or nothing. The way he drills his teams is his forte, he just wouldn't have the time with his players to implement his methods.

The way he goes ballistic if a player does one tiny thing wrong in his eyes, tells me international football would drive him crazy after two games.
