Guardiola confirms intention to stay at City for next two years P123

It's reported the Juventus social media team are preparing two video packages, one for Maurizio Sarri and the other Pep Guardiola.

Despite all the statements from Juve directors, the Manchester City manager and most sports reporters, some continue to maintain Guardiola not only is in talks for a Bianconeri move, but already signed a pre-contract agreement in April.

However, one of those who has been most adamant about the Guardiola story – Luca Momblano – has slightly adjusted his approach this evening.

He appeared on TopCalcio24 television and claimed that while Guardiola was still the first choice, he is having difficulty negotiating his release from Manchester City.

Sarri is therefore on hold and just waiting for the all-clear to sign for Juventus, should Guardiola remain out of reach, as he seems intent on leaving Chelsea for a return to Serie A regardless.

Momblano even claims the Juventus social media team have been told to prepare two video packages, one if Sarri is the new Coach, another if Guardiola gets the job.

It was actually an elaborate plan by Momblano and Juventus to raise their share prices on the stock market. They are publicly traded club after all and some Italian newspapers such as Corriere dello Sport have highlighted that there has been a 5% just after Momblano put his piece out a few days ago.

"Pep having difficulty negotiating his release from Manchester City" would sound incredibly stupid to anyone who has followed City even a little bit, for the last 3 years.

As if Khaldoon, Txiki and Ferran would ever keep Pep hostage at CIty. :)

There must at least have been talks for any story to have happened?
Italian clubs are renowned for driving prices down. This Pep/Pooch/PEG bullshit is aimed solely at driving down Sarri's negotiating position.

With regards to Pep, you can see this is a load of tosh. I could accept Pep wanting to leave to go to another club, out of respect, but it's the idea that City would take Pooch as his replacement - that's never happening in a million years. This was tagged on to add credibility to the whole story by making it a happy, merry-go-round deal for all involved clubs and to explain the delay in announcing the deal due to the finals.

I said I would stop posting when our new manager would be official and that's what I'm going to do, but now I'm here to reassure the very few of you who are still a bit nervous about Pep's future (can't believe I'm doing this).

I don't know which Juve forum you've taken a peek at, but at the one I follow we're really exhausted by this whole mess and right now we only want the club to announce someone, anyone, just so we can go on with the transfer market and think about the team's future.

All the signs (including Juve's share plummeting this morning) lead to Pep staying where he is so there are just a couple of us who still believe, but now it's just blind faith and nothing else. In my previous posts I wrote that I hoped he would come to Turin because there were lots of mixed news, but even a fan can go only so far before accepting reality.

For what it's worth, I don't think the many rumours of him coming to Juve were just invented to raise our stock market, since Sarri's appointment will drag it back down to the start and below. There were probably real talks or attempts that didn't end well, for one reason or another.

It wasn't a media attack on your club, we were just another example of how news spread by different media can confuse you as hell and play on your hopes to make you believe things that don't have any truth to them anymore.

Hope is the football fan's stock in trade. Hang on to it !
